Over the past year, Softdocs has been growing so fast that we haven’t had time to introduce you to our newest employees, some of whom have been here for over ten months now. So, without further ado meet the “new” faces of Softdocs.

Jason Philips, Implementation Consultant

From

Originally from Columbus, OH but I have been in the Columbia, SC area for the last 33 years.  Currently, I live in Lexington, SC.

Career History

Before coming to Softdocs, I worked at Team IA, Inc. in Lexington, SC. I have over 10 years of experience with document management systems within health care, financial and government sectors. My experience includes software systems development, testing, documentation, delivery, training and ongoing customer support.

Hobbies/Interests

I love music! My late step-father was a Jazz musician, so growing up I was exposed to various artists and music styles. To this day I love traveling to nearby cities discovering new talents.  Some of my all-time favorite musicians include Coldplay, Diana Krall, Eurythmics, Jethro Tull, Pearl Jam and Phil Collins.

If you were a Softdocs solution, which one would you be and why?

I would be Doc e Scan, our enterprise content management and archival solution, because I appreciate information being easily accessible enabling an institution to make decisions faster and improve their business practices.

Outside of work I am very passionate about fitness and have completed seven marathons and several triathlons over the past four years. I also teach work-out classes including boot camp and kickboxing at a local gym on the weekends. My husband and I also enjoy spending time in the outdoors doing everything from biking to hiking.

If you were a Softdocs solution, which one would you be and why?

I would be EMMA, our time and attendance solution, because punctuality is so important to me.

Jamie Pearson, Enterprise Architect

From

Walhalla, South Carolina—a beautiful little town at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Career History

Prior to Softdocs, I worked with CGI for 16 years on their Property and Casualty Insurance solutions—WPC, INSideOUT, and Edge. In addition to my overall architectural duties, I was the technical lead for the workflow and imaging component of those solutions.

Hobbies/Interests

Naturally, I enjoy tinkering with computers. I’ve had a love for them since the mid-80′s when my grandfather gave me a Commodore 64.  Beyond that, I enjoy spending time with family. I love to ride bikes and hike with my wife and children. About a year ago, we made it our goal to visit every State Park in our beautiful state. So far, we have five pinned on the map! I also enjoy coaching my daughter’s soccer team. It’s been very rewarding teaching them and watching them grow as a team over the past two years. And on occasion, I get to do a little gardening. My grandparents, who raised me, taught me to love growing beautiful plants and vegetables from a very early age. I hope to pass that love on to my children.

If you were a Softdocs solution, which one would you be and why?

If I were a Softdocs solution I’d be Doc e Fill, Softdocs e-forms and workflow solution, because I’ve had a love for workflow for over a decade. I really enjoy the challenge of helping clients automate mundane tasks so they can focus on more important things.
