As we continue to grow as a company, we take time each year during the holiday season to give back to the community by supporting a local charity. This year, we assisted the William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center’s Voluntary Service Department with its Wish List for Veterans.

The Dorn VA Medical Center is Columbia, South Carolina’s Veteran’s Hospital, and its Voluntary Service Department assists with the supplemental care of our nation’s heroes and their families when they visit for treatment. As its name suggests, the Voluntary Services Department is very dependent upon the goodwill of donors and the local community. Every year, the department provides a wish list of items needed for the care of our veterans, and the Softdocs team was more than willing to help.

In a single month, Softdocs employees contributed almost $1,000 worth of items and cash donations. The department’s volunteers were very grateful and appreciative of Softdocs and the efforts of our employees, especially considering the time of year.

We want to extend a special thank you to Ricky Johnson who helped organize Softdocs’ participation in this year’s annual charity drive. He was happy to share photos of the car trunk full of items Softdocs employees donated.

“As one of the many [Softdocs] employees who has served in the United States Military, I could not be prouder or more grateful to work with and alongside the many awesome people who make up the Softdocs family.”

– Ricky Johnson, Developer
