For over 20 years, Softdocs has called South Carolina home. We love South Carolina, and we are grateful for the support and loyalty of our customers in the education marketplace who’ve helped us experience continued success. Beginning in 1998, Softdocs develops and provides content management solutions to colleges, universities and K-12 districts both in-state and across the country. In fact, Etrieve by Softdocs is the only education-focused enterprise content management solution on the market.
We’ve been able to grow as a company and expand our team, but our focus has remained on education and helping educational institutions. We are excited to be helping students now too, with the Softdocs Technology Scholars Program! We are awarding scholarships to South Carolina students seeking degrees in technology related fields.
The Softdocs Technology Scholars Program awards scholarships to incoming freshmen, from South Carolina, who are pursuing a degree in a technology related field from a US-based higher education institution. Each year, Softdocs selects one eligible incoming freshman to receive a $3,000 scholarship that can be applied towards tuition and fees (including books, meals and rent) at the US-based higher education institution of their choice. Awarded scholarships are renewable, up to three years, if the recipient continues to satisfy qualifying requirements.
The Softdocs Technology Scholars Program awards scholarships to select South Carolina students who satisfy the following criteria for consideration. To apply for the Softdocs Technology Scholars Program, you must be a permanent resident of South Carolina. Applicant must have an unweighted high school GPA of 3.5 or above, and be accepted for admission in a US-based higher education institution with plans to pursue a degree in a technology related field. To be eligible for consideration, applicant must be an incoming freshman. Applicants with a criminal record will not be considered.
Awarded scholarships are renewable, up to three additional years. For a scholarship to be renewed, the student must be still pursuing a degree in a technology related field with an unweighted college/university GPA of 3.5 or above. The student must also maintain a permanent residence within South Carolina and cannot have a criminal record.
The maximum value of a scholarship award through the Softdocs Technology Scholars Program is $3,000 a year for four years, if the student continues to meet the qualifications stated above.
For the 2019-2010 academic year, online applications will be received beginning March 1, 2019. Review will be limited to the first 1,000 applications received. Awards will be announced by May 1, 2019.
