The Softdocs team is growing once again. Get to know a little bit about our Spring 2015 new additions!

Devaun McFarland | Support Team Member (Doc e Fill)

I’m originally from Binghamton, NY and graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2009. Moving south, I arrived in Columbia in 2010 to begin my spring semester as a graduate student at the University of South Carolina. I knew I would enjoy the transition; growing up, I’d visit both Charlotte and Mount Pleasant to spend summers with family I have in the area. Before Softdocs, I worked on the web development team at Carolina First/ TD Bank.

Outside of work, I am working to obtain my doctoral degree in Computer Science. I enjoy playing basketball, being active, movies, good food, traveling, and great weather. I’m excited and feel it is a pleasure to be on board here at Softdocs.

Kayla Tuff | Account Development Representative

I began working with Softdocs in May 2014 as an Inside Sales and Marketing Intern. Now, a year later, I started my new role as an ADR just 5 days after I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications.

I call Minnesota home but have lived in Arizona, graduated from high school in Georgia and plan on sticking around South Carolina for a while. I enjoy the warm weather and southern hospitality.
When I’m not working, you can find me working out, watching sports (GO GAMECOCKS!), traveling, trying out new restaurants or binge-watching shows on Netflix. I couldn’t be more appreciative to continue with the Softdocs team!

Daniel Warner | Technical Services Consultant

I graduated the University of South Carolina with a degree in English and attended the University of Texas at Austin for graduate school, where I studied medieval literature and linguistic theory.
After that, I changed gears and returned home to Columbia to work at a small IT consulting company. There, I did a bit of everything to support custom software development for clients, from system administration to implementation to technical writing. I am now working as a Technical Services Consultant here at Softdocs.

In my free time I enjoy tabletop games, home brewing and being bossed around by my cats.

Herbie Hollar | Creative Lead

I have been a graphic designer since 1995 with the last ten and a half of those years in the advertising realm, picking up a number of local and regional advertising and awards along the way.
I worked as an art director at BlueCross BlueShield in their marketing communications department before joining an ad agency, Chernoff Newman, in 2005. I worked there almost nine years as a senior art director.

I am very excited to have joined the Softdocs team and I look forward to applying my design and creative communications skills as the lead designer and creative guy.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Erskine College in 1994 and a Masters in Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina in 1996. I find it very zen to work in the flowerbeds around my house and very rewarding to take care of a rascally cat I rescued. I enjoy local activities such as art shows, independent movies, local theater and DJs.
