This summer, MontE Christman and staff at Central Carolina Community College agreed to beta Softdocs’ newest solution, Etrieve Flow.

Etrieve Flow is Softdocs’ next generation workflow solution. Completely browser-based and built on a mobile-first philosophy, users can access the product regardless of device and OS type. Etrieve Flow integrates with Etrieve Content for scanned and captured documents and Etrieve Forms (or Doc e Fill) for secure, electronic forms.

Central Carolina uses Etrieve Flow in conjunction with their enterprise content management system, Etrieve Content and electronic forms solution, Doc e Fill – soon to be Etrieve Forms.

MontE Christman, the Associate Director of IT for Central Carolina, is excited about the new direction Softdocs has taken with our solutions. He said, “We’ve had very positive feedback. Things can be processed more quickly – it previously could take weeks and now, it takes just a few minutes [to route forms]. It’s a lot more efficient.”

Etrieve Flow has helped Central Carolina staff across the campus fill in some of the workflow gaps they had before. Users would have to physically print or send an email to let someone know a document was out to be processed. Central Carolina staff have picked up the process easily. They initially had a Softdocs trainer come on site but now are training in-house to the masses. “It’s a train the trainer type of scenario – we train the department heads and they train their particular staff,” MontE commented in regards to training. “A lot of people have been able to intuitively use the application on their own. They found it and just started using it.”

Central Carolina has forms that are set up with hooks to push and pull data from Colleague and other on-site databases. MontE is happy with the current integration and looks forward to what is to come.

“We’re still fairly new to the process but things are working well. We keep communication open [with Softdocs] to make sure our goals will match up with the functions of the product,” MontE adds. “It’s a beta product and is functional. I’m very excited about the plans for Etrieve Forms. If the Development team is looking for a beta site for that solution, I’m ready to sign right up.”

Softdocs is thrilled with the Etrieve Flow success at Central Carolina and we look forward to completing the suite for the college in the next year.
