Softdocs today announced that Carson-Newman University, a four-year liberal arts Southern Baptist college located in Jefferson City Tenn., has selected Etrieve, its enterprise content management, e-forms and process automation platform. Based on an intensive search by a cross-departmental committee, Carson-Newman determined the Etrieve platform will help the university increase process and content management efficiencies and move them closer to a paperless environment campus-wide.

“Last year, our enrollment was at an all-time high and we required a next-generation content management system that could truly transform the way we operate as a university by managing and capturing data electronically,” said Kevin Houk, associate IT director, Carson-Newman University. “Softdocs’ education-focused team, robust and mobile-friendly platform, and direct integration with our ERP made it a very easy and confident choice for us.”

The financial aid, registrar, admissions and student accounts offices at Carson-Newman will utilize Softdocs to automate tedious manual paper-based processes via the use of Etrieve Forms and Flow. Students and administrators will be able to access, track and complete web-based e-forms from any device, significantly decreasing time to completion and increasing efficiency.

Etrieve Content, an integral component of the Etrieve platform, will provide Carson-Newman with a centralized repository to manage all student and employee records. Forms, documentation and other content will be dynamically captured from and linked with Ellucian Colleague, the university’s ERP solution, and will enable mass retention and deletion of records for compliance purposes.

The Etrieve platform offers ERP-integrated applications that store and organize content, as well as redefine common business processes, reducing the need for paper and improving productivity across the entire organization.
